The Brentwood Firecracker 5k financially supports MANY local organizations each year and these organizations need our help NOW more than ever! So with much thought and deliberation, the planning committee has decided to move forward with a VIRTUAL 5k race this year! ALL funds raised will benefit local organizations in need including:
Brentwood Food Pantry
Other Organizations (Have a suggestion of another LOCAL organization that needs financial support during this time? Contact us!!)
HOW IT WORKS:
The Brentwood Firecracker 5k race will now occur at the location and any time of your choice between July 1 - 30, 2020. A virtual run is similar to a traditional event except that you complete it entirely on your own. There is no required location or time. Our goal is to create positive motivation by helping everyone get outside and stay active and healthy! You can even print your own race bib! And since we are doing this SOLELY to help fund some local organizations in need, you also get to help give back! It's a WIN-WIN!
This year's commemorative t-shirt will be available for a socially-distanced drive through pick up or shipped directly to you in early July so that you have it for the 4th! Once finished with your run, you will even be able to go online and submit your time to be included in the race results page!
We also want you to snap a selfie while on your run and post it with our hashtag #VirtualFirecracker. We know that running in a virtual 5k can be weird given that we're typically such a LARGE race, so we want to gather as many of you as we can "virtually" on our social media this year! We can’t wait to see your pics!
Are You READY??
Register HERE. Remember, ALL proceeds will go to local organizations that are in need!
You can run whenever and wherever. If you forget or don't want to submit your time, don’t worry. If you’re registered, you’ll get credit for running it!
THE FINE PRINT:
Brentwood 5k is not responsible for your safety while running virtually. All virtual participants are asked to socially distance from others and follow recommendations as provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
